COMMUNITY IN ACTION

Roots Skatepark is a grass roots, community based project that has garnered support and funding from all types of sources from government funding to private individuals. It is spearheaded by Richey Riggs and Brian Sandlin (owner of Abstract Concrete), and is supported by a small army of local cement craftsmen who lend their expertise to the project and have made ideas turn into the creation of this truly world class skate park. It is a physical manifestation of what can be done when all levels of the local community come together to achieve a goal, in this case a world class skate park that gives people of all ages a positive outlet that encourages outdoor physical activity as well as personal and community growth. Over 200 yards of concrete has already been laid down to form this amazing skatepark, and Phase 3 is currently in planning and seeking funding.

Any donation made helps get closer to the goal of finishing Phase 2 and starting on Phase 3.

Support your local skatepark and community by donating.

Looking for Root's Skatepark swag?

You may have seen our hats or shirts at events and on the heads and shoulders of supporters of our park. We usually have some items available at events and if you see Richie or Kai you can hit them up for whatever they have on hand. They usually sell out quick some the best bet is to come to Roots Skatepark events and snag what you can then the supply is good! Hopefully we can get an online store going soon. Stay tuned!!
